Funding

Funding Options and Referrals

Leigh Morgan is registered to provide services through Helping Children with Autism (FaHCSIA), National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Medicare and major private health insurance extras (if you have extra’s cover that includes psychology).

For your convenience, we have EFTPOS and Medicare Easyclaim facilities within our clinic to allow your Medicare rebate to be claimed at the time of payment.

MEDICARE

Helping Children with Autism Package -Assessment Sessions:

Up to 4 medicare sessions for children under 13 to assist with assessment for autism.  This referral is provided by a paediatrician and can be used for psychology assessment.

Helping Children with Autism Package -Treatment Sessions:

Medicare rebates can be accessed by children under 15 years as long they received a diagnosis prior to 13 years of age.  A referral is required from a Paediatrician or Psychiatrist.

A referral under this plan can either be for assistance with the diagnosis process (up to four sessions), or for treatment after receiving diagnosis (up to 20 sessions). Note that these sessions cannot be renewed annually and can be used for other allied health services (with the total number of services not exceeding four and/or 20).

THE GP MENTAL HEALTH CARE PLAN

A part of the Better access to Mental Health Care initiative

  • Medicare rebates are available for patients to receive up to 10 services per calendar year. 

  • Referral needed from GP, Paediatrician or Psychiatrist

    • Referral validity lasts for a maximum of 10 sessions per calendar year:

      • 6 sessions with a valid referral

      • 4 sessions upon review and on receipt of another valid referral from your health care professional.

Please Note: A review is required after 6 sessions – If the review referral is not provided at the 7th session, this session will be charged privately.  No Medicare rebate will be provided.

What to bring to your first appointment:

  • A GP’s, Paediatrician’s or Psychiatrist’s referral is required when you commence treatment.  When you visit your health care professional, he/she will print a referral for you to access my service.  

  • Child or Adult Intake Forms

  • Any previous reports

  • Custodial Papers if applicable

Without a referral, private sessions are also offered

NDIS

Leigh Morgan is registered with the NDIS for Early Childhood Supports (0-6 years) and Therapeutic supports.

​

Application is being made for Behaviour Supports, presently.

What to bring to your first appointment:

Please bring your Approved Plan or a letter from your Support Co-ordinator which list your goals and any other milestone checks such as: 

  • When reports are due 

  • Category your treatment will fall under (Early Childhood or Therapeutic Supports).

We will copy this for our records, with your permission.
