Leigh is a clinical psychologist who has worked with children, adolescents, adults and their families for more than 20 years. Leigh is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia with an endorsement for Clinical Psychology and is a member of the Australian Psychological Association and American Psychological Association.
After completing an autism internship in the United States focusing on strong behaviour management skills, Leigh subsequently worked in government organisations and diverse educational settings within Australia. Having extensive training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Leigh has found this strategy to be very effective in supporting adults and children alike. In addition, CBT is helpful for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD who tend to enjoy the pragmatic nature of this approach.
Leigh is an Associate Fellow in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York, as well as having undertaken additional training at the BECK Institute, New York, to continue to provide effective, evidence-based therapy.
