Psychologist

Part-Time Contracting Position

We are a growing private psychology practice in Wheelers Hill.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated psychologist, who share our vision and values, to join our team.    

 

We see a variety of clients including children, adolescents and adults that present with a range of adjustment and developmental difficulties.  Our clients are generally referred under the Mental Health Care Plan and through the NDIS program for people with disabilities.   

 

There is also the option to conduct assessments for ASD, ADHD and educational needs.  Further opportunities to participate in delivering group treatments are available.

 

The role will suit a determined, hardworking, passionate and friendly clinician, with a strong commitment to providing evidence-based therapies at the highest levels.    

 

Key Selection Criteria:

​

  • Registered Psychologist (Psychology registrars are welcome to apply)

  • Have a current Medicare provider number (or be eligible to apply)

  • Experience working independently with clients, and a strong commitment to ongoing personal development 

  • High standards of professional practice in a range of evidence-based interventions, including CBT and behavioural interventions

  • We have a strong focus on RE-CBT and behavioural intervention within our practice, and a strong commitment to these philosophies is essential.  Training and support is provided 

  • Demonstrated experience in working with children, adolescents and adults

  • Excellent organizational skills 

  • A willingness to contribute to the team environment within the practice and to engage in activities outside of therapy activities to support the growth of the practice.

Behaviour Therapist

​We are seeking a Behaviour Therapist to work on a casual basis with our families providing high quality behavioural intervention. Experience is highly regarded, but not essential. Strong commitment to Applied Behaviour Analysis – with some understanding and training in this modality.

Psychologist

This role will suit a passionate and friendly psychologist, with a strong commitment to providing an excellent service for their clients.  

 

You will be able to see a wide variety of client presentations including anxiety, depression, anger, executive functioning difficulties, impulsivity and attention difficulties.  There is also the option to conduct assessments for ASD, ADHD and educational needs.  Further opportunities to participate in delivering group treatments are available. 

 

Essential Criteria:

​

  • Masters in psychology – ideally with clinical or educational & developmental endorsement (Psychology registrars are welcome to apply)

  • Fully Registered Psychologist with AHPRA and the Psychology Board of Australia

  • High standards of professional practice in a range of evidence-based interventions, including CBT and behavioural interventions 

  • A strong commitment to ongoing personal development 

  • Experience in working with children, adolescents and adults 

  • Excellent organizational skills 

  • The ability to work within a team as well as independently within the private practice setting  â€‹

 

Highly Regarded:

​

  • Autism experience 

  • Strong background in behavioral intervention 

  • Experience in delivering groups 

  • Previous experience in working in a private practice setting

  • Strong skills in supporting parents with their children’s difficulties
